Man ohh man a lot has happened in the past week and a half….. Well, we won our last fixtures game against UMF. For that we played against Salve for the Conference Championships…. AAAANNNNDDDD…… We won…. 34-31…. We are 8-0. Undefeated all season. So this weekend we are off to the Northeast Region Championships at the Union College’s Rugby Field in Schenectady, NY . As winners of the CCRC (Colonial Coast Rugby Conference We play against Tri-State Conference winners at 11am on Saturday. Depending on how we go on Saturday will determine what game we play on Sunday. If we win (fingers crossed) we will play for 1st and 2nd…… Im a little excited… I woke up so sore… but mostly I feel grateful for the ladies on the team…. I kept making a few errors on the field which resulted in penalties against us…. and many of my family and friends knows when I get to the point where i am doing that then it literally plays in my head and i get in a mood… But not this time… the ladies literally pushed me and just kept telling me shake it off and make it up in the next tackle or we got to do this…. I could feel myself gettung there but when the ladies lifted me up it just felt really good… It made me miss Kady, Jude and Chelsea back home…. They always were there picking me up…. This is why i love team sports….
Before the conference game though it has been Halloween Week…. It was an experience in itself…. seeing everyone dress up… I didnt get to go to Salem, however its all good…. Next time…. i went from Thing 1 to a broken doll in a few hours…. but to say we did have a good night… from what i remember…..
Other than that it is study study study…. I am going alright with my studies… I have been thinking about all the differences that this college is to CQU. But then I also realise as it is mid way through week 10, that technically there isnt much time left in my exchange program… well yes there is but when you sit down and figure out the dates – it is currently the 6th of November, so in two and half weeks we have a weeks break for Thanksgiving (23rd-1st December) and then after that its two weeks of classes left then it is one week of exams…. Insane isnt it…. like really insane…. Im just going to enjoy the most of every week and all the activities that come along.
Speaking of Thanksgiving……. YEEWWWW!!!! that means its nearly adventure time!!!!! Yay….. put your hands up if youre ready for some adventures…. Oh pick me… lol….
Jess, Kaleigh and I are off to a Boston Bruins game next weekend. Im super excited… a weekend where i can enjoy watching a sport… I am still yet to venture to a Boston Celtics game…. Trust me I will get there before the semester ends…. But until then Lets Go Bruins…. For those who dont know, the Boston Bruins is Boston’s Ice Hockey Team…. But the night before we have our women’s rugby banquet…. this is also exciting…. Everyone back home knows i love presentation nights – a time to change the boots to heels, have fun dressing up, celebrating a good season…. Well I haven’t found a dress yet, but im sure ill have something there in one of my suitcases….
I am really missing home…. Well I don’t think its home home I am missing, I think its the people. I mean they do say that home isn’t a place, its the feeling you get when you are surrounded by loved ones. I guess I just miss the family and friends that are always there for me… I mean, yes Ive said it before technology has assisted in being able to be in contact with them, but this feeling i have is different….. Here i am being a big sook again…. I will get over it….
That being said, its time for me to get my head back into the books and study as i have a exam worth twenty percent of my grade…. Wish me luck…. 🙂 Have a great day everyone…..
