so the last post I had wrote and alot had happened. wjere do i start…. ok yes Thanksgiving Break….
A whole 10 days break and just adventuring. So I start the day off with my American Pop Culture class and complete my presentation. I could have waited until after the break but Im really glad I did it then. that was one less assessment piece to worry about.
Fast forward to the end of the afternoon I got to Boston safely then I had a little trouble navigating myself to the bus stop. I didnt go through Greyhound or one of the other companies. I organised my travel through FlixBus… first the bus ran late and then when it finally arrived we ended up being even more late due to the traffic heading out of Boston. I arrived in NYC and due to the lateness I found that I had missed my connecting bus. But thanks to the Service of FlixBus they arranged my tickets to another service that departs in less than 30minutes. By this point im super tired but I figured if i go to sleep I will not go back to sleep when I get to DC. but rest assured I did get to my destination safely and it felt so good to finally lay down in bed… lets say I crashed as soon as my head hit the pillow…
Throughout my four days in Washington DC there was so much that I wanted to go and see. I saw The White House, The U.S. Capital, The National Monument, The Lincoln Memorial, The Martin Luther King Jr Memorial, The National War Memorial, Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum, Smithsonian Native American Museum, Smithsonian African American Museum, The National Mall, Georgetown University, Unuversity of the District of Columbia, and my favourite The National Zoo.
One of the biggest things I had on my list ever when I go travelling is to see a panda bear. man even though the panda was up near the building to the enclosure I was still super excited to see a panda. Im hoping one of my next trips is to go to China to see more pandas.

Yes you could see all these places in one day but I wanted to enjoy the adventure so I did a couple of places each day and just made the most of it… I stayed at Airbnb which is really cool. it was close proximity to the town area of DC. i could of caught the buses but it was only a 15-20minute walk… lets just say over those few days in DC i did a lot of walking… but the days were passing by so quickly, before i knew it, it was time for me to pack and travel to my next destination.
Hello New York City. Fortunately for me, my suite mate Jess and her family hosted me for the four nights I was in NYC. this was great to be around q family surroundings again. Also i got ti experience an American Thanksgiving Day dinner with her family as we travelled to New Jersey. getting there was a little adventure in itself but we arrived and it was great. ThanksGiving Football on the big screen, plenty of food and apple cider… man back home its very rarely i ever heard of people drinking apple cider, but this apple cider was great. hot with some alcohol.. ππΎ
Whilst in NYC, I ventured the subway system and might i say once you know where you need to stop off its easily managed. the biggest thing is the amount of people taking the subway but thats expected in many places you go. Throughout my visit tmto NYC i went to Central Park (Jess lived within blocks) so it was good. and atleast I knew where i was going when i kicked my butt off the couch to catch the end of the Thanks giving parade. man those streets were packed…
But more places that i saw in NYC were Metropolitan Museum of Art, National 9/11 Memorial, Empire State Building, Rockefeller Center, Statue of Liberty (From a distance), Coney Island, Brooklyn Bridge, Grand Central Station and its terminal, Fifth Avenue, Bloomingdales (Storefronts), Times Square, Prospect Park, Union Square, Washington Square Park. i didnt get a chance to go in but i saw from the outside The Barclay Center and Madison Square Garden center (It would have been great to go into those for events). I do wish i had gone to a Broadway musical or play, but never the less i know to save and what i can do when i come back over. Photos of all my advetures can be found on my personal facebook page – under the Album – Endicott and Adventures https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10219494004768330&id=1460063962&sfnsn=mo
Oh i forgot to mention, the day i travelled back to Boston there was a predicted snow storm…. and man oh man it was absolutely freezing…. like ive been experiencing alot of coldness over here but this was different. we got a snow day. this means that classes are cancelled for the day… now remember to keep in mind that there is essentially only three weeks left of college. two of classes and one of final exams.
that being said i know that over the week break I should have been doing more assessment work then i did because that following week I had two presentations due and a final paper plus as we had Nationals for EC Womens Rugby in Georgia we had to leave on the Thursday afternoon. so I had a short week as it was. So the snow day didnt really help… but it was another day to just concentrate on my assesements….
everyone asked if ive seen snow before and i said yes i have when i was a teenager i went to the mountains with my aunt but ive never experienced snow like this… like a snow storm that cancelled classes, snow that is inches deep, snow freshly falling… it literally just feels like im watching a movie. but im not… its all real…
Oh Georgia was an experience i will never forget. Im glad I decided to sign up and play rugby over here. it gave me more than i could have imagined. i mean the bond the team has, the way every one pushes each other and is always supporting and just the fun banter between teammates… Anyhow my sister’s said they set their alarms at 4am because thats the time difference it would of been to watch it on the live stream. our first game was tough, but in the second half we played our game and we came away with the win…. so we were going to a National Championship Game for NSCRO Rugby.

Unfortunately we didnt come away with the win, but we as a team never gammve up and just kept pushing all the way until the last whistle. Im super proud of the team. They’re No.2 in the Nation with a record of 11-1… thats a massive achievement. I’ve said it to the girls many a time i am super thankful for the opportunity to play along side everyone each week. Yes ive had issues with my continued shoulder injured but they always supported when i continued to play and always off the field.

last thursday we had our International xmas get together and it was a great time jsut having everyone together before finals week and every one leaving. ofcourse i did have to duck out for a quick 15minutes to have a Rugby Evaluations. But back at Gullys we all just reflected on pur semester, had some sushi and eggnog or hot chocolate and played bingo…

its officially the last week of finals and its coming to a end alot quicker than i expected. i mean I packed all my stuff up over the last two days and it really hits that its just about over. but its not over for the adventures for they are only just about to begin…. πππ
